Kiwanis of Wakota Club participated in the annual Day of Service by building dressers for Bridging in 2025

Attendees celebrated the start of spring by making spring-themed decorations for the senior living center.

Attendees at our meeting at Two Rivers High School decorated ziplock bags and then filled them with snacks for The Open Door Pantry. We filled 36 snack bags. When we were done, we celebrated our year of service by making homemade ice cream in ziplock bags with ice, salt, vanilla, and cream.

This year, the Kiwanis of Wakota gave out over $6500 in scholarships to area high school students. Two students at Two Rivers High School were granted $1,000 each. Two students at Woodbury High School were given $1,000 each, and another was given $750. And one student at Park High School in Cottage Grove was awarded $1,000, and other $750. We were very excited to be able to award this many scholarships! To cap it off, the club held its first annual scholarship dinner where attendees and their parents were celebrated for their achievements.

Neighbors Inc. held a community event to showcase all of the resources available to members of the West St. Paul and surrounding communities. The Kiwanis of Wakota Club hosted a table and filled t-shirt tote bags for the homeless to give out at Neighbors Inc.

Kiwanis of Wakota and the Two Rivers High School Key Club teamed up to walk in the WestFest Parade on June 6th, 2026. Two Rivers High School Key Club members handed out "positivity catchers" along with candy along the route.
